Links
I would like to
acknowledge the help I have received from the following
three websites. These sites contain a wealth of
information and are much more comprehensive than this
relatively modest offering!
Other sites
you may find interesting:
-
Scriptural
Truths - Contains well-documented information on the
translation of many Bible texts, particularly those
concerning the identity of Jesus Christ and his
relationship with his father.
-
Jessica
Carter's Weblog - With commentaries on the debate
between Jason Beduhn and Rob Bowman on the correct
translation of John 8:58.
Note that I am
not affiliated with the above sites, or with the official
Watchtower site.
Interesting Books
Needless to
say, I have also benefited greatly from a number of
published works that have helped me to compile this site,
among others:
Jehovah's
Witnesses Defended - An Answer to Scholars and Critics, Second Edition
(Stafford)
The Role of
Theology and Bias in Bible Translation (Furuli)
"Your Word is
Truth" - Essays in Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the
New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures (1950, 1953)
Truth in
Translation: Accuracy and Bias in English Translations of
the New Testament (Beduhn)
Software
My favourite Bible program is
e-sword.
It has literally dozens of Bible versions, as well as the
original Greek and Hebrew texts, Strong's and Thayer's
dictionaries.
