Glossary: Concerning the Title |
The title of a book is supposed to tell the reader something about its contents. Why is the title of this one so long and hard to remember? Does it mean that the book is long and its contents are hard to remember? The title was conceived as follows:
[6] A neologism is a new word, usage, or expression, and a neologist is one who invents them. Thus Theocratese is a word of my own invention. A {Web}-based version of Webster's dictionary (several editions are available), hereafter referred to as the Internet Webster's, provides a second definition for neologism, namely ``a meaningless word coined by a psychotic.'' I have been claiming to be a neologist for years, but never realized how accurate I was. :-) (See {emoticons}.)
